Changes Healing Center strives to make the admissions process easy for incoming clients and their loved ones. In addition to accepting most forms of health insurance and other payment options, Changes Healing Center provides free assessments for incoming clients, which can be conducted over the phone.

Our admissions navigators will discuss your personal history, goals, and treatment options during this assessment. We will help you get the maximum coverage for our treatment programs during the insurance verification process.

Statistics from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)’s 2021 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NDSUH) found that 16.5 percent of the United States population aged 12+ met the criteria for a substance use disorder at some point in the past year.

All rehab centers are unique, and Changes Healing Center is a special one. Changes Healing Center uses a combination of evidence-based treatments, including both traditional and holistic modalities, to address substance abuse and co-occurring concerns.

We focus on whole-person healing and have a range of treatment options so that clients in all parts of their recovery journey can get the help they need. In addition to making treatment as accessible as possible for Arizona residents by accepting many forms of Medicaid, we also accept Aetna insurance for rehab, as well as most other private insurance companies.

Whether you’re seeking treatment for yourself or someone else in your life, you may wonder what to expect. Some of our clients will have been to other treatment centers using their insurance before, whereas others will be entering care for the first time.

Evidence Based Addiction Treatment Approaches

Here are the addiction treatment options at Changes Healing Center and what sets each one apart from the others. Many of our clients engage in multiple levels of care using a step-down approach, but not all.

You can use your health insurance to pay for any of the treatment programs at Changes Healing Center, and we also support self-payment options.

Medical Detox Services

Detoxification or “detox” programs are designed to help you through the initial process of getting off of drugs and alcohol. You may experience uncomfortable and potentially dangerous withdrawal symptoms when you stop using substances.

Medical and mental health staff in detox programs provide supervision, monitoring, and support to ensure that you get off of drugs and alcohol safely.

Usually, detox is a precursor to another level of care because it focuses primarily on helping you achieve physical stability. We offer sub-acute detox services and can refer you to another in-network detox service if needed.

Inpatient Rehab Support at Changes

Inpatient is the most intensive level of addiction treatment. In our inpatient rehab program, clients eat, sleep, and live on-site until their graduation date. You will have a full daily schedule that consists of groups, individual therapy sessions, recreation, and other activities.

One of the greatest benefits of inpatient treatment is that it allows you to immerse yourself in recovery and build new, healthy patterns and coping skills in a space 100% free of drugs and alcohol.

The length of your time in treatment will depend on your individual needs and other factors, but most can expect a treatment stay of around 30-90 days.

Partial Hospitalization Programs at Changes

Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are one step below inpatient treatment programs in intensity. They are the most intensive form of outpatient care for drug and alcohol abuse. In PHP, you will live off-site but commute to your treatment center for a full weekly treatment schedule.

Therapies and treatments are similar to those used in inpatient care, and the required time commitment is similar to that of a work or school schedule.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) require a lower time commitment than PHP. In our IOP, you will still engage in a combination of individual therapy, groups, and other treatments, but you will spend fewer total hours in treatment per week.

Since it is our most flexible level of care, IOP can be ideal for people who need to tend to obligations like work or school while in treatment. IOP is often fully covered, or at least partially covered, by most health insurance providers.
