What is Grief?

What are the stages of Grief?
The stages of grief, first described by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, outline five common emotional experiences that people may move through after a significant loss. These stages can help us understand the many ways grief can show up—but it’s important to remember that everyone’s healing journey is unique. Not everyone experiences all of these stages, and they rarely occur in a specific order.
The five stages of grief include:
